Druans dont deny the weight of history. It acknowledges the scars left by institutional religious overreach and the tensions of the past. However, the movement fundamentally rejects the perpetuation of historical grievance as a justification for contemporary hostility.

To frame all modern religious practitioners—and specifically Druans—as inheritors of collective guilt for early modern persecutions is not an act of justice; it is an act of intellectual dishonesty.

The Druish perspective distinguishes between the historical actions of monolithic institutions and the present-day lives of individual practitioners who seek to contribute to a pluralistic society.

While there are undoubtedly fanatics in every corner of human thought whom we must all stand against, the modern trend of blaming religion as the "sole source of the world’s woes" is a grotesque oversimplification. It is a narrative pushed by those who are either historically illiterate or willfully manipulative.

Principles of Non-Imposition Amid Historical Tensions

The First Church of Druwayu, incorporated in 2024 in Oregon City, Oregon, represents a contemporary New Religious Movement (NRM) known as Druwayu—meaning “True Ways,” derived from Gaulish and Middle Saxon linguistic roots. Founded by Raymond S. G. Foster, who holds the clerical title High Elder Warlock, Druwayu presents itself as a quadrotheistic religious system integrating theology, philosophy, and empirical inquiry.

Druwayu recognizes four primary divine persons—one God and three Goddesses—within a structured theological framework. This quadrotheism stands in formal doctrinal incompatibility with classical Christian monotheism. However, Druwayu’s incompatibility with Christianity at the level of metaphysics and theology does not extend to social hostility or coercive opposition.

Core Principle: Non-Imposition

Central to Druwayu’s identity is its doctrine of non-imposition. The church’s bylaws state that membership is entirely voluntary and that the religion shall neither be imposed upon others nor allow itself to be imposed upon.

It is also false.

The label is not a discovery. It is a projection. It is imposed from the outside and repeated without regard for what Druwayu actually is, how it defines itself, or how it was founded.

From the day Druwayu was established—October 1, 2024, in Oregon—it has been explicit and consistent: it is not pagan, not heathen, not occult, and not a rebranding or offshoot of any preexisting tradition. That position has never wavered. To continue applying those labels despite repeated clarification is not careful analysis. It is a refusal to listen.

Asymmetric Compatibility and the Structural Integrity of Druwayu

Druwayu was never created to be a false attempt to bridge everything. For that reason, Druwayu is not designed to be broadly compatible, nor does it aim to be culturally absorbent. Where compatibility exists, it is asymmetric and limited—rooted in shared methods of inquiry rather than shared beliefs, rituals, or identities.

This distinction is foundational. Druwayu does not seek validation through resemblance, inheritance, or syncretic blending. It operates on the principle that coherence, accountability, and methodological honesty take precedence over inclusivity, popularity, or emotional resonance.

As a consequence, Druwayu inevitably stands at odds with most religious systems.

This opposition does not arise from hostility toward spirituality, plurality, or symbolism, but from a rejection of indiscriminate aggregation and unexamined contradiction. A Real Religion isn’t just a collection of symbols, slogans, or PR Stunts and campaigns. A true spiritual tradition — such as Druwayu — consists of coherent concepts, ideas. doctrines, ethical grounding, and a committed path of a truly spiritual, personal, moral and ethical development of self, and by proxy, the local culture. These core concepts have been largely lost/ignored.

By contrast, Theistic and Philosophic Satanism, especially as currently embodied in groups like The Satanic Temple (TST) and the popular media version of the Church of Satan (CoS), lacks this foundational seriousness intentionally while spiting moral philosophies they clear do not comprehend as much as they like to claim.
