WARLOCKS PRIDE DAY

WARLOCKS PRIDE DAY

AUGUST 2 – AUGUST 6

Celebrating the strength, wisdom, and heritage of traditional

Heterosexual Masculine energy within the craft.

Enough of the Nonsense

Warlock Pride Day stands as an official declaration of the dedication, study, and mastery of all who walk the path of the Warlock. This day honors the male practitioners of the craft, recognizing their vital contributions to the magical arts and securing their rightful place alongside the Witch. Both Witch (female title) and Warlock (male title) are entirely valid, powerful titles.

For too long, the magical community has put up with a fabricated taboo. The rigid rule rejecting the word "warlock"—and the myth that it means "coven traitor"—was invented out of thin air by a small, self-appointed circle of creators running a private coven in 1950s and 1960s England.

  • This select group sought to monopolize terminology, dictate what the craft is or isn’t, and control the narrative while also confusing witch with an old Scott's word for wise and even their credentials were largely fictional (in other words they were occultists that lied).

To enforce their control, they inserted completely unverified claims into modern occult literature, pretending that "warlock" was an English coven's word for an exile when no such "covens" ever actually existed and a host of other lies that go with it.

They ignored the actual linguistic history:

  • Both words developed naturally from shared Old Saxon and related language roots.

Historically, as common records note:

“Warlock, in Scotland is applied to a man whom the vulgar suppose to be conversant with spirits, as a woman who carries on the same commerce is called a witch.”

A Dictionary of the English Language, 1755

It was always a parallel title for a male practitioner carrying on the exact same work and even older sources than this conform this contrary to all the naysayers who have not dont actual homework.

  • These mid-century claims were never backed by historical sources or evidence. For less than a century, this nonsense has been uncritically regurgitated, turning the personal preferences of a few 1950s individuals into a false universal law.

We must also hit back against the backpedaling critics who now say, "that may have been true then, but it's not true now." This argument is pure cowardice.

  • These critics actively use a fabricated version of what they claim was true "back then" as their sole justification for hostility and gatekeeping today.

When their historical narrative is exposed as a lie, they pivot to claiming "modern tradition" to avoid accountability. This moving of the goalposts is a profound intellectual problem and a cowardly refusal to admit they were wrong. It will no longer be tolerated.

We reject this, and other revisionist history

Language belongs to the practitioners, not a 1950s gatekeeper. No single group holds a monopoly over these titles. Today, we shatter the modern myths, build true community, and proudly reclaim the title of Warlock as a badge of honor, mastery, and equal validity in the magical arts.

We encourage you

We call upon all who walk this path to turn these words into action.

Do not let this declaration sit idly on a page; bring it to life by organizing a Warlock Pride Day event, gathering, or study circle in your own local area. Whether you host a public rally, a private coven assembly, or an educational workshop, your efforts are vital to shattering these modern myths and rebuilding our community.

Once your event is planned, submit the details to us immediately so we can feature your gathering and amplify your voice with us, which will be presented here in The Cauldron Report.

Stand up, make yourself heard, and let us map the global reclamation of our rightful title together and embrace the unapologetic path of the heterosexual male, and heterosexual warlock. Enough with the deflections and gatekeeping!
