Coming Up with Character Names
We have a trio that demands attention. With their shared aesthetic of leather, grit, and attitude, it is clear this group is ready to take on the world. As the official mascots for the First Church of Druwayu, they represent a unique spirit of strength, unity, and a modern craft of Warlockery and Witchery.
At the center of it all, we have the enigmatic Mr. Skulls—also known as The H.E.W.—standing tall with his signature look. But every legendary team needs a balanced dynamic, and that is where we need your creative input.
We are officially opening the floor for a community naming campaign to find the perfect monikers for his two partners in "crime" so to speak, or patriotism depending on the opinions of the observers.
The Challenge
We are looking for names that capture the essence of these two striking characters. They stand side-by-side with Mr. Skulls, sporting matching leather trench coats, heart pendants, and a look that says they mean business.
The Redhead: She brings a fiery, intense energy to the group. Her vibrant hair and confident stance suggest someone who might be the intuitive force or the bold spark that sets the Church's intentions in motion.
The Blonde: She brings a sharp, polished edge to the duo. With her bright ponytail and focused gaze, she feels like the calm, grounded operator or the master of manifestation.
What Are Is Being Looking For?
I want names that feel cohesive with "Mr. Skulls" or "The H.E.W." while allowing these two women to shine in their own right. We are leaning into a semi-witchy aesthetic—names that feel rooted in nature, botanical lore, or ancient virtues—without falling into the trap of overused archetypes.
We are explicitly avoiding:
Stereotypical "witch" names (e.g., Raven, Scarlet, Sarah, Freya).
Darkness or "evil" associations (e.g., Lilith, or Hecate, anything implying malevolence).
Note: Sara(h) is especially avoided because would cause an uncomfortable situation because Mr. Skulls is my signature character and Sarah is the name of my daughter so "HELL NO" on that one.
Stereo typical names are as annoying. It's like naming every single female Asian character that is a sword wielding Asian called Katana or Miko.
I certainly want names that feel empowering, bright, and aligned with the energy of the First Church of Druwayu. Think of names inspired by herbs, celestial alignments, unique geological terms, or virtues that feel grounded yet magical.
