Hallowing the Wedding: A Druwayu Rite

In Druwayu, the wedding is a sacred rite, a celebration of two lives choosing to walk together in harmony. More than a gathering, it is a cornerstone for building strong families and sustaining community.

At its heart stands the presiding clergy—the Warlock or Witch—whose role is to guide, bless, and hallow the union. Through their counsel, attunement to the day’s spiritual currents, and officiation of the hallowing, they ensure the couple is wedded with honor, clarity, and joy.

The presence of a Warlock or Witch transforms the wedding from ceremony to consecration, weaving the couple’s vows into the fabric of all living things, the Druish tradition and the life of the community.

In this way, every wedding becomes a living expression to harmony, commitment, and the sacred art of building enduring, hallowed families.

What I Created

I created this system of writing mixing in several sources or “forms” of letters and numbers from around the ancient and classical world as a single system using what is often called “runes.” I created 3 sets of 13 letters with the 3rd set being a combination of letters, and a 4th set of 10 that include the symbols for 0-9. In technicality the common symbols repressing male, female, and their union can be added as well to create another set of 13 and would more or less equate to 52 symbols.

Additionally, there is also retained an alignment with the concepts of the One God and his self definition of 6 points of 3D space which equals 7 and in concept his seven-fold spirit, Three Goddesses as the three weavers of creation, and the 12 months of a year representing cycles and time as well as…

Peace, Prosperity and Neutrality Bind-Rune:

Bind Runes:

For the most part, a bind rune is simply a combination of letters to help shorten texts when carved on objects and of various materials. That's more or less the entire extent of it. The more modern concept of Bind Runes are used as symbolic expressions associated with letters to create specific designs and express specific concepts. The following explains this in my personal creation of Peace, Prosperity and Neutrality.

Peace, Prosperity, Neutrality
Peace, Prosperity, Neutrality

This combines two T Runes opposition of one another, and a form of the Y rune or rune of rotating cycles. One might also see the I rune of Ice for things being frozen or at a standstill, however, that isn't what this above design is based in or upon. Its previous incarnation was as:

Because many ask what would be a proper bind-rune for peace and prosperity. Many forget the concepts that a raised arrows spear or…

A List of my own Hexes

ree

These hexes are written to bind, neutralize, and protect. They align with our cosmology:

  • The One God as source, creator, preserver, destroyer.

  • The Three Goddesses as distinct consorts (Graces, Fates, Furies).

  • The Wights as guardians of nature, cosmos, and ancestors.

In most cases the amount of time to prepare is 24 hours before any hex is initiated. This includes fasting and sleeping while focusing on the rite to be initiated. Usually when seeking to bring about something to draw towards you and or others, it is done from new moon to full, especially for protection, as the waxing side of the cycle.

Blood Moon Hex of Protection

Blood Moon Hex of Protection

Setup

Prepare your space beneath the blood moon or in sight of its light.

Place one large candle at the center of your altar to represent The One God, and three smaller candles around it to represent The Three Goddesses.

This is the standard for all rites in this tradition.
