DRUISH CREED

REVISED 04/07/2025

Falcon Death Shield

I affirm the One and Three:

Singular God and three Goddesses,

Eternal, beyond all, present in known and unknown.

I affirm the True Sacred Geometry:

Pattern showing the One and Three’s ties to all realms.

I affirm the Drikeyu:
Expressions of the One and Three,
Ever-present and eternally transcending,
Joining logic to truth, humor to joy, absurdity to freedom.

I affirm the Wights:

Innumerable beings seen and unseen,

Here and beyond, known and unknown,

That includes living beings; past, present and future.

I affirm we Druans:
Guided by the Drusidu,

High council of Warlocks and Witches,

Draw shared strength and purpose from the True Ways.

I pledge to the Druwayu, the True Ways:
That strengthen the weak by making them strong,
Freeing the strong to become stronger yet still and from fear,
Empowering us all to triumph in life and death with unyielding courage,
And knowing within that once born, always to be, enduring always.

Explanation of this Creed:

The Druan Creed is a short statement of faith using "I affirm" to summarize Druwayu beliefs. It unites Druans around a shared way of life guided by the One and Three, the Drikeyu, and the True Ways, focusing on strength and purpose rather than stories or events.

The Specific Points are:

  1. Theological Framework:

    • It teaches belief in the One and Three—a singular God and three Goddesses—who are eternal, beyond everything, yet part of all known and unknown things.

    • This shows a faith in a divine group that’s always present and connected to everything. Their remoteness is not an issue in Druwayu.

  2. Cosmology and Tools:

    • The True Sacred Geometry explains how the One and Three relate to all realms. The Drikeyu—Worloga, Wyrda, and Wihas—are their expressions, linking logic to truth, humor to joy, and absurdity to freedom, helping Druans understand and live with life’s big questions; even the ones that seem to have no answer.

    • It's connection to the Wights, a concept itself akin to vitality which simply means bearing life, is tied directly to the Wihas as that essence from which all things are made, Wyrda as that which shapes things as they will be, and the Worloga that directs all into what they were, are or may yet come to be.

  3. Community and Unity:

    • Druans follow the Drusidu, the high council of Warlocks and Witches, who guide them with the True Ways.

    • This council isn’t perfect or above question but is trusted for its integrity, building a community of goodwill and support for everyone: family, friends, and strangers without a need for or demand of recognition.

  4. Eschatological Hope:

    • The creed promises victory over life’s challenges by making the weak strong and freeing the strong from fear. It says Druans endure forever once born, triumphing in life and death with courage, and helps others let go of burdens.

    • In a sense, it also responds to statements such as: "if you give a man a fish to feed him, he will be back the next day hungry again, but if you teach him how to fish, he can feed himself."

    • Druwayu recognizes that the lesson is pointless without a gift of the fishing gear as the means to put that lesson to work.

  1. About the Religion's Name and core concepts

    • Drúwayú, meaning 'true ways,' captures a profound and meaningful duality. 1) It represents the unwavering pursuit of objective truth and honesty with self and others. 2) It signifies a deliberate, chosen path—a life lived with determination, dedication, and a clear sense of direction.

    • As a religion, Drúwayú stands apart by blending traditions rooted in polytheism, philosophy, and the sciences, harmonious as fusion that bridges the ancient and the modern, offering a unique perspective that honors timeless wisdom while embracing contemporary understanding.

    • As a distinctive approach, Drúwayú reflects its commitment to truth, growth, and the unity of diverse ideas in a way that is entirely its own and not haphazardly thrown together; it exists online so that it can remain a true Church without walls or limitations of geography.

  2. Our Motto

    • Logic: At its core, Druwayú values objective truth and rational thinking. Logic is seen as a tool to cut through emotional biases and subjective perceptions, enabling individuals to make decisions based on reason and fairness. This emphasis on clarity and structured thought forms the foundation of its teachings, fostering understanding and insight into the things of the world, us, and ultimately the universe as much as possible.

    • Humor: Druwayú views humor as a vital aspect of life, acting as both a unifier and a release valve for tension. It highlights the power of laughter to bridge divides, spark joy, and provide perspective during challenging times. Humor is not taken lightly — it is seen as a reflection of deeper truths and a means of connecting with others in ways that are genuine and human, though we will mock false stereotypes for amusement.

    • Absurdity: The concept of absurdity is embraced as a recognition of life’s unpredictable and often inexplicable nature. Druwayú teaches that acknowledging absurdity can lead to humility and creative freedom. By understanding that not everything can be neatly explained or understood, individuals can find comfort and even inspiration in the chaos, embracing the unknown or unknowable rather than resisting it.
