Creating a Branch of this Church
CREATING CONGREGATION
Interested in establishing a new congregation or club under the First Church of Druwayu? This is a rewarding opportunity to build a community rooted in Druish culture, guided by the principles of the he First Church of Druwayu which in the following will be abbreviated as the FCD. Below is a clear guide to get started, ensuring alignment with our mission, values, and policies.
Key Principles of Druwayu
Before proceeding, understand the core identity of the FCD:
Not Satanic or Occult: Druwayu is not tied to Satanism, mysticism, occultism, paganism, Wicca, Druidry, or monotheistic/atheistic frameworks.
Humor, Not Mockery: While embracing humor, logic, and absurdity, the FCD does not parody or mock other spiritual or religious identities.
Inclusivity: The FCD rejects racism, ethnocentrism, or exclusion based on race, gender (male/female), or sexual orientation (heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual). Membership is a choice, not a right, and may be denied to those acting against our values.
No Inherited Titles: Claims to titles like Warlock or Witch based on bloodlines or inherited identities are not recognized.
Key Principles of Druwayu
Before proceeding, understand the core identity of the FCD:
Not Satanic or Occult:
Druwayu is not tied to Satanism, mysticism, occultism, paganism, heathenry, Wicca, Druidry, or any common monotheistic/atheistic frameworks.
Humor, Not Mockery:
While embracing humor, logic, and absurdity, the FCD does not parody or mock other spiritual or religious identities.
Members may mock some of the false accusations or claims about Druwayu as they occur.
Inclusivity:
The FCD rejects racism, ethnocentrism, or exclusion based on race, gender (male/female), or sexual orientation (heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual).
Membership is a choice, not a right, and may be denied to those acting against our values.
No Inherited Titles:
Claims to titles like Warlock or Witch based on bloodlines or inherited identities are not recognized.
Claims that either title of Warlock or Witch are gender neutral, bad or anything counter to what we present as the basis for the etymology and usage will not be acknowledged.
Starting a Congregation
To establish a formal branch of the FCD, follow these steps:
Become a Druan:
Declare yourself a Druan by identifying with Druwayu’s culture and values.
No fees or formal initiation are required.
To lead a congregation, you must be a registered, active member on the FCD’s official website (members).
Understand Druwayu:
Thoroughly familiarize yourself with the FCD’s mission, values, history, and teachings, all available on our website.
Ensure your congregation reflects Druish culture, emphasizing community, reason, and creativity.
Gather Druans:
Form a group of Druans committed to Druwayu. No minimum size is required, but the group should sustain Druish activities.
Most members will be Druans, with some potentially becoming general Warlocks or Witches (clergy outside the Drusidu, the FCD’s primary council).
Name and Organize:
Choose a name for your congregation, e.g., “First Druan Assembly of [Location].”
Organize activities reflecting Druish traditions, led by Druans or recognized clergy.
You are solely responsible for complying with local and state laws. The FCD is exempt from liability for any legal violations.
Website and Contributions:
Create a webpage for your branch with a visible link to the FCD’s website.
Ensure links do not redirect to unrelated or restricted content violating FCD policies.
Provide 10% of any funds collected using FCD content to the Parent Church.
Pay a $5 monthly or $60 annual contribution to maintain an active listing on the FCD website.
Register your branch on the FCD website for redirection to your page.
Clergy Requirements:
At least one recognized Warlock or Witch (18+ and an active website member) must oversee the congregation.
Clergy recognition can be revoked for policy violations, so stay updated on FCD terms.
Local clergy may be approved to issue credentials for a fee, using the term “Hallowed” instead of “ordained.”
Drusidu Distinction:
Do not refer to your local council as the Drusidu, which is the FCD’s primary council of Elder Warlocks and Elder Witches.
Your local council can be called a “council of elders” or another name of your choosing.
Legal Responsibility:
You and your members are solely liable for any legal actions, including criminal activities or violations of local laws. The FCD is exempt from liability.
Misrepresentation of Druwayu or the FCD may result in asset seizure or legal action by the Drusidu.
Starting a Club
If you prefer to form a local club instead of a congregation, the process is simpler:
No Clergy Required: Clubs don’t need a recognized Warlock or Witch.
Approval for Fundraising: Events must be approved by the Drusidu or High Elder Warlock, with 10% of funds provided to the FCD.
Website and Links: Create a webpage with a link to the FCD site and ensure compliance with content policies.
Legal Liability: Clubs are solely responsible for adhering to local laws, with the FCD exempt from liability.
Using FCD Materials
Logos and Characters: You may use FCD logos and characters for personal use or to promote Druwayu, but not for profit without approval.
Merchandise: Authorized merchandise requires approval from the Drusidu High Elder Warlock or Witch or successor(s), with 30% of net profits sent to the FCD.
Important Notes
Drusidu’s Role: The Drusidu, led by Elder Warlocks and Witches, provides guidance but does not require approval for starting a congregation. Unauthorized actions (e.g., financial misconduct) may lead to asset seizure or reimbursement demands.
Inclusivity: Welcome all Druans, regardless of clergy status, but exclude those under 18 or acting against FCD values, with reasonable diligence.
Practical Needs: Fund your own activities (e.g., ritual materials, meeting spaces). Develop practices like a “Druish Chronicle” to define your group’s identity.
Reserved Rights: The FCD reserves the right to discontinue or take over any branch or club misusing Druwayu’s name, terms, or content, with potential legal action for misrepresentation.
Next Steps
